What is confidence?

One day I was scrolling through Instagram (follow me @kdogofficial) and I saw a post that caught my eye. The post had a quote and it said "Confidence is not "Everyone is going to like me" it's "I'm going to keep going even if they don't""

This made me think, I always thought confidence was a balanced egotistical feeling towards yourself. Most of the people I call "popular" have this swagger to them that no one else has, I called this confidence. It was almost like they made everyone will like them, but really that is not the case. They don't care whether or not people "like" them; they're going to do what they want. People are attracted to this trait since they do not have it themselves.

This is a mindset that I have used in the past, and I think that you should too. Now I'm not guaranteeing you will have people flocking to you at all times if you act like this. What I am guaranteeing is that if you follow this mindset of "not caring" you will stress less.
